An August 24, 2011 Reuters story indicated that AmSurg Corp, the large surgery centers provider, changed its offer terms for its smaller competitor, National Surgical Care, to $135 million cash. It indicated it would up that offer by $7.5 million if unspecified earnings targets were attained.

The PC business is not doing well at the moment, with traditional PC sales being supplanted by tablet PCs and smartphones, among other reasons.
